USF Starts Two-Game Homestand on Tuesday Against ECU in Play4Kay Game

The Bulls look for their seventh win in the last 10 games, and their 13th win at the Yuengling Center.

TAMPA (Feb. 24, 2020) – USF starts a two-game homestand on Tuesday to close out the month of February – and its regular season home slate – when the Bulls face East Carolina at the Yuengling Center. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. (ADN). USF, which looks for its lucky 13th win at home, also aims for its seventh win in its last 10 games.

USF’s game against East Carolina on Tuesday, will be the Bulls’ annual Play4Kay game to raise awareness of supporting innovative ways of fighting ALL cancers affecting women and providing support through giving strength, courage, and hope.

– Sydni Harvey is back to her old self after missing the first 10 games of the season due to a leg injury … Harvey is second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game, and has scored double figures in eight of the last 13 games played … She set a career high for three-point shots made in a game with seven against Temple (7-for-8) en route to a career-high tying 25 points on Feb. 9 … Harvey had a near perfect offensive night shooting 7-for-10 (70.0 percent) from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line to go along with her performance from long range.

SCOUTING EAST CAROLINA

– East Carolina comes into its game with USF with a 8-18 record and a 5-8 mark in The American … The Pirates have won their last three games following their 56-50 victory over Temple on Feb. 22 in Greenville, and three of their last four … ECU is 5-2 in its last seven games after starting the season just 3-16 through its first 19 outings.

– Lashonda Monk leads the East Carolina in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game … Taniyah Thompson and Raven Johnson are second and third on the team in scoring, netting 13.8 and 11.0 points per outing, respectively … Johnson also paces the team on the glass, grabbing 8.3 rebounds per contest.
 
THE SERIES AGAINST THE PIRATES
– USF and East Carolina come into their meeting tied in the all-time series at 7-7 … East Carolina leads, 4-3, in games played in Tampa.
