Feeling stuck…hmmm. What does that feel like?

Defined, stuck means being trapped in something, like being stuck in traffic with nowhere you can go.

Do you know anyone who has felt “stuck” and unable to accomplish something they really wanted to?

Have you ever experienced traffic on CA freeways? Years ago, I lived in southern CA, commuting daily. Sitting in traffic was a way of life, so I quickly had to learn to experience traffic differently. As the time I needed to get to work was closing in on me, I realized I would not get to my destination any faster if I was stressed and miserable about feeling trapped in my car.

Have you ever experienced that?

It seems like that “stuck” sensation feels familiar when we try to set goals for ourselves that we just don’t seem to reach. It is like we never reach the right exit to get off that road to reach our destination. If we are feeling stuck in traffic, we know we will eventually get where we are going, right? So, we redirect our thoughts to something else as we move slowly toward our destination.

Why don’t we do that when we feel stuck about other things like, maintaining a healthy weight, getting back into the gym, clearing clutter in our environment or schedule, or sometimes even making simple decisions that may feel impossible?

Why does it feel uncomfortable to redirect our train of thought so we discover the best path we can to achieve our goals? The answer- it doesn’t have to…does it?

If we choose different directions to map out where we need to go when we are traveling, like using GPS, why can’t we determine different opportunities to ensure we reach our goal?

Sometimes, accessing outside support and accountability could be what we need, like having a personal GPS system guiding us where we want to go. Partnering with a coach is one option. Coaching offers unconditional support and guidance for self-discovery which can lead to small long-lasting habit changes and ultimate success. Being willing to change directions and try taking a new road can turn out to be the road to success. If we don’t try, we may stay stuck in traffic. I am curious about your thoughts so please post or send a direct message.

Either way, it’s “ME” MondayTM! What will you do for yourself today?

Have you met the best version of yourself yet? Who would you see?

This is your now!
