BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls (10-17, 5-11 AAC) close out their 2023-24 regular season home slate on Sunday, March 3, hosting the Charlotte 49ers (16-12, 9-7 AAC) for Senior Day. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC: AT A GLANCE
Florida Atlantic its senior day matchup at 10-17 overall and 5-11 in American Athletic Conference play and have won five of their last 10 matchups.
As a team, the Owls rank in the top half of the league in a few different categories, ranking second in 3-point percentage (.331) and fouls per game (15.1), fourth in bench points per game (21.4) and 3-pointers per game (6.7), fifth in 3-point attempts per game (20.1), and sixth in free throw attempts per game (18.3).
Offensively, the Owls are led by Aniya HubbardMya Perry, and Jada Moore, who are averaging 18.2, 11.6, and 10.6 points per game, respectively.
Hubbard also leads the Owls in steals and assists, averaging 2.5 steals and 2.2 assists per game.Janeta Rozentale leads the Owls on the glass, tallying a team-high 9.1 rebounds per game, and Dyllan Hanna is the team leader in blocks, recording 0.8 blocks per game.
LAST TIME OUT
The Florida Atlantic Owls picked up their biggest AAC win of the season so far, earning a dominant 80-67 win over the Tulane Green Wave on Wednesday.Alexa ZaphAniya HubbardJaneta Rozentale, and Devyn Scott led the Owls in the win.
Zaph became the first Owl in program history to go perfect from beyond the arc with seven or more 3-pointers, 7-of-7. She tied a career-best 22 points, shooting 64 percent (7-of-11) from the field, 100 percent (7-of-7) from 3-point range and went 1-of-2 at the line, in addition to dishing out four assists and grabbing a rebound and a steal.
Hubbard finished with a team second-best 18 points, shooting 58 percent (7-of-12) from the field and going a perfect 100 percent (4-of-4) at the line. She also posted six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
Rozentale registered her fifth double-double of the season, pulling down a team-leading 12 rebounds and added 10 points. She shot 44 percent (4-of-9) from the field and 67 percent (2-of-3) from 3-point range and added three assists and a steal.
The Owls outscored the Green Wave in the second, 19-11, third, 19-16, and fourth quarters, 28-24.
Florida Atlantic also outshot Tulane from the field, 50 to 46.4 percent, from beyond the arc, 48.1 to 37 percent, and at the line, 68.8 to 62.5 percent.
The Owls also held an advantage in points off the bench, 31-8, second-chance opportunities, 12-1, fast break points, 14-12, and points in the paint, 30-28.
SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
The 49ers enter this weekend at 16-12 overall and 9-7 in league play. Charlotte also enters Sunday’s matchup riding a two-game winning streak after earning wins at North Texas, 70-69, and vs. Wichita State, 74-48.As a team, Charlotte ranks second in the AAC in free throws made per game (15.8) and free throw attempts per game (21.2), third in scoring defense (62.9), fourth in rebounding margin (2.5), steals per game (8.8), and turnovers forced per game (18.3), and fifth in winning percentage (.571), free throw percentage (.745), field goal percentage defense (.382), and 3-point percentage defense (.290).
The 49ers are led offensively by Dazia Lawrence, who has averaged a team-leading 18.5 points per game. Tracey Hueston has also averaged double figures for the 49ers, tallying 12.2 points per game, and leads the 49ers in blocks, denying 1.0 shots per game.
Olivia Porter leads the team in assists, averaging 3.2 per game.
Defensively, the 49ers are led on the glass by Jacee Busick, averaging 5.4 rebounds per game, while Imani Smith has tallied a team-leading 2.0 steals per game.
SERIES HISTORY
Florida Atlantic trails 4-11 all-time against Charlotte, including a 2-3 record when playing in Boca Raton. However, the Owls snapped a five-game skid earlier this season with an impressive 66-55 win on the road against the 49ers on Feb. 7.
