W-GOLF | Owls Set for AAC Championship Debut

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women’s golf will compete in its first American Athletic Conference Championship beginning Monday at Southern Hills Golf Club in Brooksville, Fla. (located about an hour north of Tampa). The field will consist of 12 teams and 60 individual competitors.
The LineupClemence Cadeac will lead the Owls’ lineup after finishing as the teams’ top scorer in seven of eight events. The graduate senior earned her first career victory and led the Owls to a team title back in early January at the Jupiter Women’s Invite.At No. 263 in the official Clippd DI rankings, Cadeac is the Owls’ highest ranked player.Olivia Bergner will slot into the No. 2 spot for the Owls this week. The senior from Germany has two Top 20s in her final college campaign highlighted by a career best T9 at the Jupiter Women’s Invite.Graduate transfer Amanda Linner will have positive conference championship experience to look back on. The native of Onsala, Sweden finished ninth at the 2021 Pac-12 Championship with Arizona State. Linner’s best finish this season was a tie for 19th at the Jupiter Women’s Invite.The Owls’ freshman duo of Charlotte Perkins and Giulia Scarcello have each had standout moments in their debut season. Perkins is coming off a tie for 14th at the rain shortened Golfweek Spring Invite. She finished T3 at the Jupiter Women’s Invite in January. Scarcello has competed in five of six events this spring with her best finish a tie for 33rd at the FAU Paradise Invitational.Round one off the 10th tee (paired with Charlotte and Tulane):
