USF MGolf: Bulls Add No. 3-ranked Swedish Junior

17-time conference champions add No. 3 ranked Swedish junior golfer

TAMPA, NOV. 11, 2021 – Head coach Steve Bradley welcomed another standout player to the Bulls’ defending American Athletic Conference champion men’s golf team on Thursday as the NCAA early signing period got under way.

The Bulls, who finished their fall campaign ranked No. 26 nationally by Golfstat, added another standout from Sweden as Nino Palmquist (Halmstad, Sweden), ranked No. 3 in the Swedish Under-18 Golf Rankings, joined current standout and defending AAC Champion Albin Bergstrom (Falsterbo, Sweden) on the USF team.

“We are very excited to welcome Nino to the Bulls,” Bradley said. “He is a very talented player that has competed at a high level and posted outstanding results on tough courses. He will be a tremendous fit in our team culture as we continue to pursue conference championships and top NCAA finishes.”

A member of the Swedish National Team, Palmquist is ranked No. 64 in the European Under-18 Golf Rankings and No. 3 in Sweden. He carries a 71.1 tournament scoring average after leading the Sweden team to a bronze medal finish at the 2021 European Boys Championship. He has posted one win and four top 10 finishes in the last three months on the Mastercard Swedish Golf Federation Tour and was the 2021 Swedish Junior Club Champion representing Ringenäs Golf Klubb.
