FIU Faces Middle Tennessee on the Road

MIAMI – (Nov. 11, 2021) – For the penultimate road game of the 2021 season, the FIU football team heads north for a Conference USA matchup with Middle Tennessee on November 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm ET inside of Floyd Stadium.

Senior QB Max Bortenschlager is on pace to have one of the best statistical seasons a Panther QB has had in program history. The signal-caller currently ranks in the top 50 in the country in eight different stat categories and is on pace to break Alex McGough’s 2017 passing record of 2,798 yards in a single season.

LAST TIME OUT

The FIU Football team fell 47-24 to the Monarchs of Old Dominion on Saturday night at FIU Stadium.

Senior Wideout Bryce Singleton shined against the Monarch’s secondary collecting a career-best 199 yards on six receptions and a touchdown on the night. 

Backup Quarterback Grayson James found Singleton for a score in the fourth quarter for the freshman single caller’s first career passing touchdown

 SCOUTING THE BLUE RAIDERS

 The Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee enter this weekend’s matchup with a 4-5 record overall and a 2-3 mark in conference play. 

 MT ranks 58th nationally in scoring offense, averaging 29.2 points per game. The Blue Raiders also rank 68th in the country in total defense only surrendering 388.0 yards per game. 

 The home-standing Blue Raiders fell to WKU by a score of 48-21 on November 6th.
