USF ATHLETICS: Head Coach Jeff Scott Announces Staff Change

USF Parts Ways with Defensive Coordinator/Safeties Coach Glenn Spencer

Bulls finish season at UCF on Friday

TAMPA, FLA. NOV. 21, 2021– USF football head coach Jeff Scott announced Sunday that the Bulls have parted ways with defensive coordinator/safeties coach Glenn Spencer.

Scott informed the team of his decision during the Bulls’ Sunday night team meeting as USF begins preparations for its season finale in Orlando in the annual War on I-4 clash.

“I would like to thank Glenn for his hard work, professionalism and dedication to our program and the student-athletes in it,” Scott said. “He brought a great deal to our coaching staff and his desire and effort were unquestioned, but ultimately I felt a change was needed as we move forward.

“I continue to believe we are headed in the right direction as a program and are building a foundation for success here at USF.”

Scott will address the Bulls’ defensive staff roles for the final week of the season and Friday’s contest at UCF during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

USF hits the road for its final game of the 2021 season with the 13th meeting of the War on I-4 set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff in Orlando televised on ESPN. The series is tied at 6-6.
