The elite tournament will welcome four top-25 schools to Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS – Florida women’s tennis is set to kick off the spring 2022 season this weekend, Jan. 14-16, when they travel to Las Vegas to compete in the 19th annual Freeman Memorial Women’s Tennis Championships at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.
The Gators will square off against competitors from some of the best programs in the nation, including three additional teams ranked in the top 20 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason poll. Joining the Orange & Blue will be No. 2 Pepperdine, No. 5 UCLA and No. 17 Stanford. Oklahoma State and UNLV will also compete in the tournament.
Florida will travel seven athletes out west to take part in the three-day singles and double event. The 2021 tournement will mark the Gators’ first time back in Las Vegas for the Freeman Memorial since the spring of 2019.
