Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Celebration January 17th Parade: 9:00 a.m. Celebration: 11:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Parade: The parade starts at 9:00 a.m. Line-up begins at 7:30 a.m. at Blanche Ely High School located at 1201 NW 6 Avenue. Local businesses, churches, community organizations, fraternities, and sororities come together to march while representing Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s six principles of non-violence.
Celebration: After the parade, the celebration will start at 11:30 a.m. at Mitchell Moore Park located at 901 NW 10th Street. The celebration is a fun, festive day full of live music, food trucks, family fun and a Kid Zone.
