The honor comes after the team produced uncanny success in the classroom this past Spring. “No team was unaffected by this Spring’s pandemic,” said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart, “but Athletic Director (Scott) Stricklin and President (W. Kent) Fuchs can and should be proud of their team and the work of Jeff (Poppell) and Anthony (Nesty).”
The Gators were one of 461 schools to receive the honor for this spring, representing a total number of 17,982 student-athletes.
Individual CSCAA Scholar All-American accolades will be announced next week.
