UF WGOLF: Glaser Reveals Fall 2020 Women’s Golf Schedule

The fall season will commence on Oct. 5 at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head women’s golf coach Emily Bastel Glaser unveiled the updated fall schedule on Friday.

Back in August, the SEC publicized their plan to move forward with fall collegiate golf with certain protocols in place to combat the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic. The new parameters require (1) team competition be limited to Southeastern Conference members or institutions within a conference members’ geographic region; (2) competition to commence no earlier than October 1, 2020; and (3) teams limit competition to no more than three team events.

Florida women’s golf will commence the fall season on Oct. 5-7 at the debut of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. This tournament, hosted by the University of Arkansas, will be held in Fayetteville, Ark. at the Blessings Golf Club. Expected to host all 14 SEC men’s and women’s teams, the event will be broadcasted daily from 4:30-7:30 p.m. (ET) on the Golf Channel. It will feature a 54-stroke play competition.

The Gators will then travel to West Point, Miss. to compete in The Ally at Old Waverly. This tournament, hosted by Mississippi State University, will commence at Old Waverly Golf Club on Oct. 19 and continue through the 21st.

The finale of the fall campaign will take place in Atlanta, Ga. at the East Lake Cup from Oct. 26-28. This event, which will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel, utilized last season’s final GolfStat rankings to determine the field. Florida, who finished ninth in the rankings, will join Texas, South Carolina, and Ole Miss in competition.

An updated spring schedule will be released at a later date.
