Mobil 1 Twelve Hour Updates

As you plan for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Nov. 11-14, we want you to feel safe, informed and ready to experience the same great racing that IMSA and Sebring have delivered for 68 years. While November’s crowd size will likely be smaller and activities that encourage mass gatherings will have to wait until next year, our hope is that you will move forward with your plans to join us for IMSA’s season-ending WeatherTech Sportscar Championship race as well as several other season-ending events.
Many fans have called, sent us e-mails or posted their opinions on social media on how to operate this event. We have heard you and are managing our activities with all fan and competitor comments in mind. We ask Sebring Nation to understand that most of the decisions any event promoter makes in this environment comes with great scrutiny and adherence to health guidelines established by officials at multiple levels: federal, state, county and city.
Our objective, as always, is to deliver the greatest amount of fun and excitement for our guests while always focusing on the safety of all attendees.

Opportunity to Exchange Tickets for March 17-20, 2021
If you already purchased tickets and parking for the 2020 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and you are unable to attend this year’s event, you can return your tickets and parking passes by October 15 and receive a full credit toward tickets to the 2021 event. To receive a full credit, return your tickets and parking passes to:
Sebring International Raceway Ticket Department 113 Midway Drive Sebring, FL 33870

Grateful Gifts for Early Arriving Fans
Because our fans have been through a lot this year, including the postponement of the originally scheduled March race and an altered November track schedule, Sebring International Raceway will provide guests arriving Wednesday and Thursday with free stuff – some of which you can eat and drink and other items to hang on the wall. When you arrive with your four-day passes, as always, Sebring’s smiling gate workers will welcome you and hand you coupons for services to be redeemed on site. It’s another way for the Raceway staff to “Thank You” to its passionate and patient fans. The track president says he plans to buy everyone a beer Wednesday evening!

2020 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Tickets Go on Sale Oct. 14
A pre-determined number of tickets will be available for the November race and will go on sale Oct. 14. If available, tickets and parking passes will also be available for purchase at the gate. Military and student tickets will be available at the gate only. Only SuperTickets and unreserved parking passes will be available. No additional hospitality, Club Sebring, Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge or car corral tickets will be available.

2021 Mobil 1 Twelve Hour Tickets Go on Sale Dec. 14
Looking forward to the 2021 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, renewals for reserved parking and fan hospitality packages, including Club Sebring and the Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge, will be available Nov. 16-Dec. 11. On Dec. 14, all available tickets and fan hospitality will be available online to the public. While we all hope that full operations will return for the 2021 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the manner in which we operate events in November as well as the continued improvement of public health conditions will ultimately determine our ability to return to normal.

Pre-Event Staging and Gate Opening Times
Early arriving guests will be permitted to stage in the grass parking lot off Carroll Shelby Road beginning at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Follow signs to pre-staging and you will be parked in the order you arrive. Gates will open at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 and vehicles will be admitted in order from the pre-staging lot. Pass outs will be available around the clock. If tickets remain, they will be sold from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. When gates reopen on Friday at 6 a.m. tickets will remain on sale through the conclusion of the event or until capacity is reached.

Fan and Corporate Hospitality
Club Sebring, Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge and Gurney Terrace are sold out for 2020. In addition to a reduced number of tickets sold in these areas, Club Sebring and the Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge will be expanded to allow for additional distance between guests. Corporate hospitality suites will operate at 50 percent capacity. While catering and beverage service will be available, how guests are served will be amended.

Corvette and Porsche Car Corrals
The same great exclusive parking and viewing areas, including grandstand seating and tent space outside of Turn 17, will be home to both Porsche and Corvette corrals. While in year’s past fans with a Porsche key fob or PCA Membership Card have been provided access to the Porsche corral, in November only guests with tickets to the Corvette or Porsche corrals will be permitted access.  Although Covid-19 precautions have caused both Porsche and Chevrolet to forgo direct corporate involvement in the corrals for 2020, Sebring International Raceway will continue to provide exclusive trackside parkin and grandstand seating for corral ticket holders and parade laps for the first 100 cars registered. Open-air tents with daily beverage service, a catered lunch on Saturday, grandstands and television feeds will be provided.

The Fun Continues on the Midway
All food vendors and display partners will be located adjacent to the automotive manufacturer display area on the Midway. The Fan Zone and Vendor Village will include multiple bars, food trucks and display as well as recorded music and a large screen TV to keep up with on-track events.

To Mask or Not to Mask
While we recognize that not all attendees and guests intend to wear masks or face coverings, in order to be able to host fans for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring we will follow mandated protocols in public areas of the facility. Like you we want face masks to go away – FOREVER. To help us all get to that point face coverings or face shields will be required in areas considered to be public gathering places and when interacting with guests or Raceway staff outside of your group. Face shields or face coverings will not be required while guests are in their own parking and camping areas – provided there are no gatherings with outside guests.
Public areas include restrooms, vendor areas, corporate displays or viewing areas where social distancing is not possible. We have established these protocols to comply with federal, state, and local guidelines so that we may admit spectators to the event.

Room to Roam
Unlike the Cadillac Grand Prix of Sebring in July, all guests will be free to roam between Green Park and the Midway, provided they are wearing face coverings. While trams will not be operated, guests can freely access viewing mounds, the Midway, Vendor Village and the Fan Zone.  The competitor paddock will be open only to competitors and IMSA officials.

Gate Operations
Each guest will be screened prior to entering Raceway gates — initial screening will include questions regarding current health status and potential exposure, as well as a non-contact temperature check. Individual bottles of hand sanitizer will be provided to guests upon entry.
Gates will open at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11. Pass Outs will be available all days, but no ticket sales will take place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday or Thursday. When gates reopen Friday at 6 a.m. ticket sales will be available through the conclusion of the event or until capacity is reached.

Pipo’s Return
One driver has had a virtual lock on Winners Circle at Sebring in recent years. Pipo Derani will return in the Whelen Engineering Cadillac looking for his third consecutive Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts title. Derani and the No. 31 Action Express team also won the Cadillac Grand Prix of Sebring in July. His victory in 2018 came behind the wheel of an Extreme Speed Motorsports Nissan and last year’s win was with Action Express. Derani and fellow Brazilian teammate Felipe Nasr’s Cadillac currently sits third in the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship standings, one point behind the No. 5 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac and five points behind the series-leading No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac of Wayne Taylor Racing. For the first time ever the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Series championship will be decided at Sebring International Raceway.
