Florida and South Carolina face off in a two-match series beginning Saturday
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Florida volleyball team (18-6, 12-2 SEC) welcomes the South Carolina Gamecocks (14-11, 6-9 SEC) to Exactech Arena for a two-match series beginning Saturday.
This will be the final home series for Florida during the 2021 regular season and Sunday’s match will serve as Senior Day for five Gators.
Saturday’s first serve is slated for 4 p.m. on SEC Network +, while Sunday’s match will begin at 2 p.m. on the SEC Network.
The Gators are coming off a sweep of Auburn on Wednesday night, while the Gamecocks also swept the Auburn Tigers in their last contest on Nov. 10.
Florida holds the 59-9 series advantage over South Carolina, including a 53-3 record under Mary Wise.
Senior Day
* Sunday will serve as Senior Day for Florida’s five-member senior class
* The Gators will recognize T’ara Ceasar, Thayer Hall, Marlie Monserez, Lauren Forte and Lauren Dooley prior to Sunday’s 2 p.m. start
* We are recognizing a senior class that has amassed over 90 wins in their four seasons, including an SEC Championship
* Three of these seniors already don the SEC Graduate patch as they earned their bachelor’s degrees this past year

* T’ara Ceasar added 18 kills of her own, to go along with a team-high 14 digs for her first double-double of the season. Gator alumna Holly Carlton recorded 12 kills, while Nnedi Okammor finished with a career-high seven
* Marlie Monserez led Florida’s offense, dishing out 48 assists in the process. She also recorded 11 digs for her second double-double of the season. Elli McKissock recorded six assists in the match as well
