UF Men’s Swimming and Diving | Trio of Men’s Divers Look to Qualify for NCAA’s at Diving Zones

Carlin, Farrow and Lydon will look to punch their ticket to NCAA’s over three days of diving in Athens.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. –  A trio of Gator men’s divers will look to earn bids to the 2020 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Diving Zones on March 9-11 at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga.

Nicholas Carlin, Alex Farrow and Nick Lydon will all compete to earn bids to NCAA’s on March 25-28 in Indianapolis, Ind. The men swimmers who qualify for the championships will be announced here <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.ncaa.com_sports_swimming-2Dmen_d1&d=DwIFAg&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=o5LKAX7slotfFMyE71jI7L22NYBIi1-KbRGNSXudTPo&m=aYVJHv3-0uvU-OoefAcI7slVlCz3Kyu0dTL0fkWXWhk&s=5zdEuT8JA2epr_ytKAh28L2s2HwyH5sh8yR1urCMwKM&e= > on Wednesday, March 11.

UF will be competing with 91 divers from other schools in Zone B for just 10 qualifying spots on the 1-meter and eight spots in both the 3-meter and platform.

In all three events, the top-18 preliminary scores will advance to the final round. Scores from both rounds will be combined to determine each individual’s overall finish.

After qualifying for one event at Zones, a diver only needs to post a top-12 finish to earn a qualification in that respective event at NCAA’s.
