The Florida lacrosse team heads to DeLand, Fla. to take on the Stetson Hatters on Saturday afternoon
DELAND, Fla. – The No. 6 Florida lacrosse team will hit the field Saturday for its second contest in four days as the team heads to DeLand, Fla. to face off against the Stetson Hatters.
Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at the Athletic Training Center and the game will stream on GoHatters.com/watch.

Florida is coming off a 20-7 victory over Kennesaw State on Wednesday, while Stetson’s last contest was a 15-5 loss to Campbell on Feb. 20 – the team’s season opener.
The Gators and the Hatters are meeting for the third time in program history, with Florida holding the 2-0 series advantage. In the last matchup on March 26, 2014, the Gators were victorious 23-1 in DeLand, Fla.
Scouting the Hatters
* The Stetson Hatters come into Saturday’s game with a 0-1 record, falling to Campbell 15-5 in the season opener on Feb. 20
* The Gators own the 2-0 series advantage over the Hatters, winning the last contest 23-1 on March 26, 2014 in DeLand, Fla.
* Marina Rotella led the offensive for Stetson in its first game, scoring two goals. Maria Snee, Jacklyn Lavoie and Taylor Zuberer each registered one goal in the game as well
* The Hatters came up with four draw controls in their first game, with Zuberer, Riley Reagan, Saige-Lyn Gidzinski and Saige Roe each recording one
* As a team, Stetson registered 11 caused turnovers, led by three from Christina Nikolai. Reagan added two, while six Hatters each recorded one apiece
* Kiera McCarthy saw a majority of the minutes in the cage against Campbell, recording eight saves in 44:34 while allowing eight goals. Sydney Heimann registered four saves and three goals allowed in her 15:26 in between the pipes
