KENNESAW, Ga. – The sixth-ranked Florida lacrosse team returns to the field on Wednesday to take on the Kennesaw State Owls.

Opening draw is set for 11 a.m. at Sports Park Field 3.

Florida’s last contest was an 11-5 loss against the top-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels, while the Owls are coming off a 15-7 loss to Coastal Carolina on Feb. 27.

The Gators and the Owls will be meeting for the second time in program history, with Florida holding the 1-0 series advantage after a 21-6 win on Feb. 26, 2020.

Scouting the Owls

  *   The Kennesaw State Owls come into Wednesday’s game with a 0-1 record, falling to Coastal Carolina 15-7 in the season opener on Feb. 27
  *   The Gators own the 1-0 series advantage over the Owls, winning last season’s meeting 21-6 in Kennesaw, Ga.
  *   The sister duo of Marissa and Siena Gore have led the offensive attack for Kennesaw State, each recording three goals in the first game of the season. Chesslyn Lamar rounds out the scoring for the Owls
  *   S. Gore has come up with five draw control wins, while M. Gore and Caroline Farley have won three and two draws, respectively
  *   Defensively, the Owls are led by M. Gore, Rachel Price, Roslyn Talbert and Julia Weiss, who each recorded two caused turnovers in the first game
  *   Julia Weiss has seen a majority of the time in the cage for the Owls, recording eight saves with a .400 saves percentage. In her first appearance, she allowed 12 goals
