UAB’s Buete, O’Hara Named to Conference USA 2020 Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team

BIRMINGHAM – UAB’s Joseph Buete and Aodhán O’Hara earned spots on the Conference USA Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team, the conference announced Monday. This marks only the fifth time in program history that at least two UAB men’s soccer student-athletes have made the league’s all-academic team.

Buete, who earned his second consecutive C-USA academic honor, has a 3.91 GPA while majoring in finance. He is a C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll member and has been awarded the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal.

O’Hara earned his first C-USA academic award. He has a 3.87 GPA in psychology and has been named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll as well as being awarded the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal.

Buete and O’Hara were tied for the UAB’s team lead in both goals and points.
