UAB Women’s Soccer Adds Tennessee Transfer Carlyn Presley to Roster

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women’s coach Erica Demers has announced the addition of Carlyn Presley to the roster.

“We are extremely excited to add Carlyn to our roster for this coming fall,” said Demers. “Coming in for us as a transfer, she will bring a year and a half of maturity and experience at an SEC level. She is a very hardworking player that will add a ton of depth to our midfield group.”

Presley comes to UAB after spending last season at Tennessee. The 5-3 midfielder had appearances in four matches, totaling 90 minutes. She logged a career-best 36 minutes in UT’s victory over Appalachian State.

A native of Austin, Texas, Presley played for Vandegrift High School, helping the Vipers to a district title in 2018. Presley played club soccer for the Austin Texans, Dallas Sting and Lonestar SC, where she reached the U.S. Soccer Development Academy national finals.

Soccer runs in Presley’s family as both her parents, Shannon and Matt, played professionally. Her older brother Connor plays for the New England Revolution II in the USL League One.
