BIRMINGHAM– The UAB men’s soccer team will close out their home spring schedule with a match against No. 12 Marshall on senior day at BBVA Field.
UAB will celebrate three seniors before the match: Aodhán O’Hara, Sumner Richardson and Donovan Watson.
In their last home match, the Blazers (3-10-1, 1-3-1) picked up its first win over a ranked opponent since 2016 with a 1-0 decision in extra minutes over then No. 18 Kentucky on March 27 at BBVA Field. UAB’s lone goal was the only one they needed. In overtime, Brooks Rice found the back of the net from Cale Loughrey’s assist in the 98thminute to get the golden goal.
In their last game, the Thundering Herd (7-2-2) took down Florida Atlantic 1-0. Marshall held the Owls to just four total shots and zero on goal.
THE SERIES VS. MARSHALL
UAB leads the series 10-5-1 including a 6-0-1 record at home. In the last home matchup in 2018, the match resulted in a 1-1 tie.

UAB will be on the road for the season finale against Florida Atlantic on April 17.
BBVA Field will accommodate fans with social distancing measures in place.
Fans will be asked to practice social distancing and sit in available seats. Masks are required at all times per state and county ordinance.
