Murslack has worked the past two seasons in the same role at Pitt.

“We are extremely excited about bringing Kristen on our staff,” said Nesty. “She will undoubtedly provide tremendous support to both the women and men. Kristen is extremely energetic and motivated. She will prove to be a welcome asset to our program and we are fortunate to have her with us. We are all going to be a terrific team.”

“I would like to thank the University of Florida for this great opportunity,” said Murslack. “I am eager to work with Coach Nesty and the rest of the staff, continuing the rich and successful traditions which are characteristic of this team. I am ready to be a Gator and contribute!”

Murslack joined the Pitt staff as an assistant coach in 2019, coaching the Panthers’ individual medley and butterfly swimmers and assisting with the middle-distance group. Murslack’s addition to the program coincided with a year of historic improvement for the Panthers in the pool as the men’s team posted a program-best 520 points at the ACC Championships and the women’s team improved its finish by 25 points. In addition to her coaching duties, Murslack also served as Pitt’s primary contact for women’s recruiting.

Murslack hails from Gibsonia, Pa., and previously coached at Pine-Richland (Pa.) High School and for the Pine-Richland Aquatics Club, following her 2017 graduation from Auburn with a degree in education. During that time, she helped several athletes qualify for the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Championships and the state championships on the high school and club levels.

Murslack, who swam for Auburn from 2013-17 and earned SEC Honor Roll accolades twice, served as a graduate assistant for her alma mater’s women’s soccer program and also spent time as an intern with Auburn swimming & diving.

While competing at Auburn, Murslack served as a team captain and qualified for finals at the SEC Championships in four consecutive seasons, while helping the Tigers post a top-15 team finish at the NCAA Championships. Murslack also earned a master’s degree from Auburn in higher education administration in 2019.
