BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University softball team secured a sweep of East Stroudsburg, 6-5 and 5-2, respectively, in its first two home games of 2020 on Friday afternoon.

STATS OF THE GAME:
· Game 1o Kayla Sheffield (1-0) earned the win and added two hits, including a two-run double in the second.o Olivia Pope walked and went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.o Shannon Johnson had two hits in three at-bats.o Brittney Davis went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. o The Fighting Knights scored two runs in each of the first three frames, finishing with 11 hits.
· Game 2o Pope went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the leadoff spot.o Shayle Arenson was 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and run scored.o Emily Yakel had a two-run, pinch-hit double in the fifth.o Johnson also had two RBI with a two-run single in the fifth.o Allyson Jameston moved to 2-0 with her second complete game, scattering four hits and two earned runs, striking out five.
