BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (February 16, 2022) – Fans attending the 2022 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Nashville, March 2-6 at Bridgestone Arena are encouraged to become familiar with policies related to fan enjoyment and security for the game.
Mobile Tickets
The 2022 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament is a MOBILE TICKETS ONLY event. All fans will need a mobile ticket to enter the arena. Fans are encouraged to save their ticket to their mobile wallet prior to arriving for easier access into the venue. Screenshots or recordings of tickets are not valid for entry. Fans coming to the game with friends or family, should transfer their tickets to them before the day of the game so they may enjoy ease of movement around the arena.
SEC Clear Bag Policy
Bridgestone Arena strongly encourages fans not to bring any type of bags into the facility. The SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament is a clear bag event. Items that are typically carried in diaper or baby bags must be carried in a clear bag. The types of bags below will be permitted into the competition venue:
* Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
* Fans may use a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
* Small clutch bags can be no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” with or without a handle or strap
Guests attending events with approved bags will experience delayed entry times due to X-Ray screening, for expedited entry please leave bags at home.
Fans may still bring items such as binoculars and cameras (no detachable lenses), provided they are not in cases, as well as smart phones into the arena.
Working personnel, including media, will continue to enter the arena through designated gates where they will be subject to screening and bag inspections already in effect for the tournament.
Bridgestone Arena Cashless Policy
Cashless transactions have been implemented throughout Bridgestone Arena. By accepting only credit cards, debit cards and mobile payments, transactions take place faster and allows concessions and merchandise vendors to operate more efficiently for customers.
Tournament Schedule
Wednesday’s session will begin at 11 a.m. CT with the first sessions on Thursday and Friday beginning at Noon CT. The first semifinal on Saturday is set for 4 p.m. CT with the SEC Tournament Championship game on Sunday tipping at 1 p.m. CT.
All gates for public admission to the arena are open one hour prior to the first game of each session on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Gates are open 90 minutes prior to the championship game on Sunday.
