Schanuel Named Perfect Game Baseball Preseason All-American

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Nolan Schanuel has been named as a Preseason First Team All-American by Perfect Game Baseball, as announced by the publication on Thursday. It’s the second Preseason All-America nod for the Boynton Beach native in less than a month. In mid-December, Collegiate Baseball named the junior outfielder as a third team selection.

Schanuel is coming off a 2022 season where he launched 16 home runs, collected 56 RBI, and finished with a team-best .369 batting average. He earned First Team All-C-USA and Second Team All-Southeast Region recognition.

This is the second consecutive season Schanuel has earned preseason All-America honors from Perfect Game. He was also named a freshman All-American after his debut season with the Owls in 2021.

Schanuel made his way onto this year’s list as a first baseman, but a position change could be in the works for 2023. When the Owls open the new season on February 17, the power-hitting lefty will likely be stationed in right field.
