Sankoh’s Second-Half Goal Propels Lynn Women’s Soccer to Crucial Point Against Embry-Riddle

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s soccer team went toe-to-toe with a strong Embry-Riddle University squad on Saturday evening, earning a critical point by way of a 1-1 tie with the Eagles.

STATS OF THE GAME:

·         Anniina Sankoh delivered for the Blue and White once again, slotting in a goal after a scramble in the box to even the score at 1-1 in the 56th minute. Ida Langer played Sankoh into the box, earning her first assist of the season.

·         Embry-Riddle opened the scoring just after halftime, heading home a corner kick in the 48th minute.

·         Devan Malcolm played a complete 110:00 of action, making six saves between the pipes.

·         ERAU had 54 percent possession compared to Lynn’s 46 percent and held a 24-13 advantage in shots.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

·         Langer’s helper was the first assist and point of her college career.

·         After earning just two points in its first seven SSC matches, head coach Alex Greco’s bunch has now earned four points in its last two SSC tilts.
