OTHER TEAMS TO MENTION (OTM):
Auburn, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Oklahoma State

RANKINGS ANALYSIS:I decided to keep all teams ranked the same until some team loses or wins a game by the skin of their teeth (including underperforming)…I was impressed with how #3 Texas and #8 Oklahoma manhandled their respective opponents in their home game and made a statement…Speaking of the Oklahoma, the Sooners will have a bye-week before a home game against Kansas State on Sept.26…. Memphis, who is on a 1-0 start, was supposed to have a home game against Houston but that game got postponed because of this CO-VID19 pandemic. The Tigers will get back on the field for a road game against UTSA on Friday, Sept.25….#9 UCF will take the field for a road game against Georgia Tech this SAT (3:30 PM, ABC). The Yellow Jackets are coming off an upset road win over Florida State..

SPECIAL REMINDER: Notre Dame will have a home game against South Florida this SAT (2:30 PM) on the USA Network, which is a sister cable channel to NBC because they are owned by NBCUniversal. NBC will be airing an NHL playoff game…Oklahoma State will finally take the field for a home game against Tulsa this SAT (Noon, ESPN). That game was postponed from last week because of CO-VID19 concerns…Cincinnati will have a home game against Austin Peay this SAT (Noon, ESPN+). The Austin P Governors are coming off a hard 55-0 road loss against Pittsburgh while the Bearcats are beginning a quest to win their first conference title since 2009 (as members of the now-defunct Big East)…
