PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES – MARCH 9, 2021

Head Coach Joel Quenneville

“I thought we had a tremendous start to the game, I thought we did a lot of good things.”

“Bob [goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky] was great. I like the way he’s progressing over these stretch of games here, and that was his best.”

“Whether you’re old or you’re young, we’re looking for everybody to contribute on a consistent basis. We have a lot guys that are pushing to get into or stay in the lineup.”

“Timely power play today, getting the last couple (of goals), and a huge (penalty) kill at the end.”

Forward Juho Lammikko

“He [goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky] was unreal tonight. A lot of huge saves, and especially in the third he kept us in the lead. It was fun to watch.”

“It’s big to get the first goal and good to play with the lead. We’ve fallen behind a couple times but we always battle back. It’s good to get the first one.”

“We just tried to work hard, keep going, get the forecheck in their end and have fun.”

Defenseman Markus Nutivaara

“I’m really happy we got the win. They’re hard to play against, it’s always fun.”

“Feels great to be out there. I’ve been waiting to get a chance, and I got it. Second time in a row with my first game back at Columbus. That fires me up and it’s good to be back.”

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky

“It was a good game definitely. I faced a lot of shots, the guys helped me a lot there. Columbus is a really good, hard-working team. They’re going to put the puck on the net and work around the net. It was a great battle.”

“We put on a show today. He [CBJ goaltender Joonas Korpisalo] made two unbelievable saves, everybody in the building thought it was going in but somehow he kept it out. It definitely gives you energy, a little extra motivation to compete.”

“Every point matters. We’re getting closer and closer inside the locker room, we have a great atmosphere. Every night somebody delivers it. We have good depth, every night somebody steps up and makes a big play and we get the two points.”
