PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES – FEB. 25, 2021

Head Coach Joel Quenneville

“It was one of those nights where we caught a break with the momentum slowing down there (in the third period). (Dallas) seemed to play a pretty good game, we didn’t seem to be generating a whole lot at any point in the game…All of a sudden, we captured a little life. Great response all the way through it and it was a big win for us. We feel fortunate, don’t expect to win many like that.”

“I thought he [goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky] was excellent. I’d call that a goalie win. (Dallas) had some real good quality looks, in every period he kept us in there and gave us a chance that maybe something could happen in the third and we found a way. Bob was the reason why.”

Forward Aleksander Barkov

“The whole game Bob [goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky] was keeping us in the game and giving us a chance to win. We just needed one to get going. It was a huge win and especially a great game from Bob.”

“The last 10 minutes we were all over them. It was just a matter of time that we were going to score. Finally got a lucky bounce, we didn’t get any lucky bounces last game, but it got us going with a couple more goals and we won the game.”

“We’re going to play against them five more times. It set the tone with this little series, trying to win them and get points out of every game. That’s what we did, we got two points from this game and now we move forward.”

Forward Frank Vatrano

“If you were to put it in one word, it’s just resiliency. We mixed and matched our lines in the third (period), and we got some jump in our step.”

“I think we had over 90 shots in the last two games. When you’re only on the score sheet for a few, it can be frustrating. It was going like that again tonight but luckily we broke through in the third.”

“Every single game this year is so important, playing in your division all year every point matters…Those are big points for us.”

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky

“The guys stepped up. You find a way to win the game, it gives a great boost in the locker room. It’s a great team win. I have a tremendous belief in this team.”

“After the guys scored the third goal, it was so exciting. It gave us so many emotions and we got life. Everybody knew that we weren’t going to let that out of our hands.”

“It’s a big win for us, huge two points. It gives us a little extra edge in the locker room.”
