Oakland Park teachers are honored

Broward County Public Schools honored top education professionals with the Caliber Awards program. Two education professionals in Oakland Park schools were honored.

Those honored include Dr. Claudia Singkornrat, a Pompano Beach High School science teacher, was named Teacher of the Year. The Caliber Awards Ceremony also recognized Kassandra Fried, Cypress Bay High School, Principal of the Year; Rosheika Y. H. Rolle, James S. Rickards Middle School, Assistant Principal of the Year; and Rachel Robuste, Liberty Elementary School, School-Related Employee of the Year.

Rosheika Y. H. Rolle, the Assistant Principal atJames S. Rickards Middle School, started her professional career in education 18 years ago as a third-grade teacher. She has spent the last seven years in education leadership.

“Every child has the capacity to learn, and it is our responsibility as educators to tailor our approach to meet their individual needs,” Rolle said. “We can positively influence their development, offer enriching experiences and opportunities, and ultimately shape them into becoming well-rounded global citizens who contribute to creating a better tomorrow.”

“Ms. Rolle has the unique ability to bridge gaps, facilitate collaboration, and build strong relationships among all stakeholders,” Principal Erick Gurreonero said. “This talent not only contributes to a harmonious school culture but also enhances the effectiveness of our educational programs. Her passion, dedication, and vision for education are truly inspiring.”
