NSU Places 74 Student-Athletes on Fall SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

MELBOURNE, Fla. – In its 2020 Fall Commissioner’s Honor Roll presented by Barnes & Noble College released on Monday, the Sunshine State Conference recognized 752 student-athletes from across the league, including 74 from Nova Southeastern University. The Sharks also had 12 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Again with a record-setting count of 752 named to the Fall 2020 list, 193 carried a 4.00 for the Fall semester across the conference. The total breaks last year’s 713 and is the eighth consecutive record-setting Fall for the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

The Sharks exceeded the previous program best by seven, topping 2016’s mark of 67.

To be eligible for the Fall SSC Commissioner’sCommissioner’s Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. Participants in the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, and volleyball were eligible for the Fall Honor Roll.

Having won 111 Division II National Championships since the league was founded in 1975, SSC’s studentathletes have proven to be successful in the classroom as well. The SSC boasts an Academic Success Rate of 86 percent for the 10th consecutive year.
