No More Super Teams

BY RICK CURTI

Hello South Florida Tribune! Hope everyone is having an awesome day. As everyone knows I love sports and I’m very passionate about it. One trend that I do not like at all are all these superteams in the NBA.

I was very surprised that Kawai Leonard went to the Clippers. I would of stayed in Toronto and become the most famous Canadian along with Justin Trudeau, But thats me.

In my time we had a lot of rivalries such as Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, which was my favorite during my teenage years.

I can’t even imagine Magic and Larry Bird teaming up? Or Michael Jordan teaming up with the Bad Boys Detroit Pistons? Patrick Ewing or Barkley teaming up to play with Michael Jordan or Scottie Pippen?

Today it’s common and it’s a cheap and easy way to a title.

Kevin Durant joined a 73 win team that lost in the playoffs. To me his titles have an asterisk and just shows our society today.

It’s sad and I hope we don’t see this trend in the NFL or NBA! Let me know what you think? Am I right or am I just crazy? See you again!
