NFL, YouTube Renew Partnership to Bring More Exclusive Content and Weekly Series to Fans

Season Two of ‘NFL Game Day All-Access’ Premieres Wednesday, September 16, Offering Fans a Unique Look Inside a NFL Game Day

The NFL and YouTube today announced a partnership renewal that will bring more NFL content, including exclusive original series, game previews, highlights and analysis to the NFL’s official YouTube channel.

Among the new exclusive NFL content coming to YouTube is the second season of NFL Game Day All-Access, premiering Wednesday, September 16. Episode 1 features wired sound from Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, Lions WR Marvin Jones, Panthers WR Robbie Anderson, Ravens RB Mark Ingram and 49ers TE George Kittle, plus additional game sound from Dolphins vs. Patriots, Buccaneers vs. Saints, Cowboys vs. Rams and Steelers vs. Giants.

Produced by NFL Films, NFL Game Day All-Access utilizes a variety of production elements including game footage, wired sound, mobile video and more to tell the complete story from players and coaches’ perspective of an NFL game day. Each 20-minute episode will be made up of key moments throughout the day from warm-ups and game moments, to postgame activities.

In its debut season, NFL Game Day All-Access averaged 1.6 million views per episode and featured wired sound from a number of players and coaches including Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Shuster, Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury, 49ers CB Richard Sherman, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh andSteelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

The NFL first launched its official YouTube channel in 2015, and it has been a vital platform for both the league and its 32 clubs, serving as a platform to deliver a variety of NFL content to its equally diverse fan base. From team-specific game highlights and expert football analysis for avid fans, to unique and informative original series like ‘NFL Explained‘, the NFL on YouTube has recorded a number of highlights including:

  • The official NFL YouTube channel boasts more than 6.6 million subscribers, adding over 1.5 million subscribers last season
  • NFL league content across YouTube generated three billion views over the last year
  • The original series “NFL Explained,” which answers the most-searched questions on Google, has generated 14 million views over seven episodes
  • In addition to NFL league content, all 32 NFL clubs actively program their official YouTube channels, using the platform to distribute their own original video content

In addition to NFL Game Day All-Access, fans will be able to view game previews, in-game highlights, post-game recaps and more episodes from exclusive content series like NFL Explained on the NFL YouTube channel and subchannels including NFL en Español, NFL Films, and NFL Throwback during the 2020 season.
