Welcome to Rick’s Rants! As you already know by now I am not afraid to Voice My Opinion. I checked out the New Pro Football League, Everyone including Me has been talking about and I have to say I am Very Impressed with the Alliance Of American Football! I noticed how quick the games are, how much better the officiating is, and most importantly No Politics or Scandals that have plagued the NFL in recent years.
The coaches and even the quarterback are miked up and you can hear the play calls. The one thing I really enjoyed is how much the Alliance has focused on getting the calls right. There is actually another official up in the booth called the ‘Sky Judge” and they are there to see and overturn calls that are egregious and they are miked up as well. There are no kick offs to start the game. Ball is placed on the 25 yard line and no extra point on touchdowns. 2 point conversions Only. Games are exciting and fun and it’s great seeing other players getting 2nd chances. The Alliance debuted with over 2 million viewers and drew as many fans as an NBA game.
