MetroSeries Battle To Open Detroit Mercy’s #HLMBB Slate

DETROIT (9/17/2019) — The University of Detroit Mercy men’s basketball team will have a short Christmas break as the Titans will begin the 2019-20 Horizon League schedule with a trip to rival Oakland as the HL released the conference ledger today. 

The Titans will meet the Golden Grizzles on Dec. 28 and will then host Oakland in historic Calihan Hall on Jan. 31. 

Detroit Mercy will be home right after the New Year with defending tournament champions NKU and regular-season champions Wright State visiting the Motor City on Jan. 3 and Jan. 5. 

After four games on the road at Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Milwaukee and Green Bay, Detroit Mercy returns home for three-straight against IUPUI (Jan. 23), UIC (Jan. 25) and the match-up with Oakland to close out January.

The red, white and blue will have a four-game homestand in February with Youngstown State (Feb. 13), Cleveland State (Feb. 15), Green Bay (Feb. 21) and Milwaukee (Feb. 23) before ending the regular season on the road at UIC and at IUPUI.

In the non-conference, the Titans will host Eastern Michigan (Dec. 7), Toledo (Dec. 14), Northeastern (Dec. 19) and SIU-Edwardsville (Dec. 21) and visit power programs in NC State, Clemson, Notre Dame and Gonzaga along with a trip to Las Vegas.
