Jupiter, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s golf team shot 600 over the first 36-holes of the Jupiter Women’s Invitational and is in seventh place out of 11 teams in a predominantly Division I field. Helen Kreuzer is ninth individually and seven shots back of the leader.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights notched rounds of 305 and 295 for a 600 total. They are 20 shots back of the leader, Florida International (580). Florida Gulf Coast (587) is second followed by host Florida Atlantic (591), Georgia Southern (593) and Nova Southeastern (597).
- Kreuzer opened the day with an eight-over par 79 but had a short memory with a four-under par 67 in the second round. Her 146 (+4) is seven shots back of FIU’s Agueda Cortilla-Mas.
- Matilda Wahren is just outside the top-10 after posting consecutive scores of 74 for a 148.
- Amber Lee Svendsen ended the day 10-over par following rounds of 77-75 for a 152.
- Honor Keilty and Camila Ugalde Garcia logged 36-hole totals of 156 and 159, respectively.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD:
- Lynn, Nova Southeastern and Keiser University are the only non-Division I institutions participating.
- Kreuzer’s 67 was the lowest total of the second round and second-lowest for the tournament.
- Kreuzer is now the owner of the lowest and third-lowest 18-hole scores in program history. She posted the lowest score in the first tournament of the fall.
- A top-10 finish for Kreuzer would be her third consecutive and 14th of her career.
- Should Wahren reach the top-10, it would be the first time in her career with three consecutive top-10 finishes.
