Lynn Men’s Soccer Maintains Top-25 Presence

Kansas City, Kans. – Lynn University’s men’s soccer team stayed within the United Soccer Coaches Top-25 poll but dropped to No. 17 in the nation as announced on Tuesday.  The Fighting Knights were undefeated on the week, going 1-0-1 to improve to 5-0-1 overall.

It was a hard-fought week for the Blue and White, playing 110 minutes of scoreless soccer in a 0-0 draw against rival Nova Southeastern on Wednesday.  These two squads now have over 220 minutes of scoreless play in the last two seasons.  Lynn then snuck by long-time rival Rollins College 1-0 on Saturday to move to 2-0-1 in the Sunshine State Conference.

Three teams represent the SSC in the latest top-25 poll with Florida Tech taking its 6-0-0 record to No. 11 nationally.  Lynn is ranked 17th and Palm Beach Atlantic dropped to No. 25 following a road loss to Saint Leo.

The Fighting Knights put their unblemished record on the line when they travel to Lakeland, Fla., on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. to battle Florida Southern.  Fans can watch the match live at LynnFightingKnights.com.
