Lynn Athletics Culminates 2018-19 with Continued Academic Excellence

2018-19 Academics Report


BOCA RATON, Fla.
 – We are pleased to share Lynn University’s student-athletes’ success in the classroom as the Fighting Knights earned a 3.20 department GPA for the spring semester with an impressive 38 students posting a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring. Women’s golf led the way for the second straight semester with a 3.84 GPA, featuring four students with a 4.0 for the term. Men’s soccer posted the top average on the men’s side, as it did in the fall, with a 3.41 team GPA, boasting eight students with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The department saw 13 of 15 teams earn a 3.0 GPA or better with five programs totaling a GPA or 3.5 or above. Over half of the student-athlete population posted a GPA of 3.5 or above with just about 75 percent notching a GPA of over 3.0.

Spring 2019 Academic Points of Pride

70% of the student-athletes (196 of 281) received a 3.0 GPA or higher.

48% of the student-athletes (135 of 281) earned a 3.5 GPA or higher.

13.5% of the student-athletes (38 of 281) posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Women’s golf tallied the highest team GPA with a 3.84.

Men’s soccer had a 3.41 GPA for the best men’s team GPA for the term.

13 of 15 teams posted a 3.0 GPA or higher; with 6-of-8 women’s teams earning a GPA of 3.3 and above. 

2018-19 Academic Points of Pride

70% of the student-athletes (221 of 317) received a 3.0 GPA or higher.

49% of the student-athletes (142 of 317) earned a 3.5 GPA or higher.

10% of the student-athletes (32 of 317) posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Women’s golf tallied the highest team GPA with a 3.85.

Men’s soccer had a 3.40 GPA for the best men’s team GPA for the year.
