PARKER GIVES DOLPHINS FIRST-QUARTER LEAD
• WR DeVante Parker caught a 34-yard touchdown pass on Miami’s opening drive to give the team a 7-3 lead. It was Parker’s first touchdown reception of the season and first since Parker had an 18-yard touchdown reception on Dec. 2, 2018 vs. Buffalo.
• The touchdown pass from QB Josh Rosen was Rosen’s first as a Dolphins player. He was acquired this offseason in a trade with Arizona on April 26, 2019.
CHARLTON RECORDS ANOTHER SACK
• DE Taco Charlton brought down Chargers QB Philip Rivers on a second-down play in the third quarter. The sack forced a third-and-long and an eventual Chargers field goal after they had entered the red zone.
• For Charlton, it was his second sack in just his second game with the Dolphins. It marks the first time in Charlton’s career that he recorded sacks in consecutive games.
