Le Tertre Leads Lynn Track on Day One in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Lynn University’s women’s track team traveled to Coastal Carolina University, making good use of its spring break, to compete at the CCU Invite, which began on Friday morning. The Fighting Knights competed in five events on the day with Emannuelle Le Tertre their top finisher, notching third-place in the 5,000m.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Le Tertre finished in the top-three in the 5,000m, dropping her career and program-best time to 17:56.76, which was just .05 seconds shy of second-place.
· Ally Jones joined Le Tertre as Lynn’s second top-10 finisher in the 5,000, crossing the finish line in 19:37.02.
· Madison Wells won her flight, jumping 5.34m (17’-6”4) in the fifth of her six attempts for a sixth-place finals finish. Wells also secured 13th-place in the javelin, throwing the spear 21.45m (70’-4”).
· Natalie Beck, Lauren Leckenby, Jones and Le Tetre made up Lynn’s 4×800 contingent which posted a time of 10:16.72, ahead of Division-I Austin Peay ‘B’ and both of Coastal Carolina’s team entrants.
