Florida Panthers Agree to Terms with Forward Serron Noel on a 3-Year Entry-Level Contract

6-foot-5, 18-year-old winger having breakout season with Oshawa (OHL)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, March 8, 2019 SUNRISE, Fla. –
Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager
Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with
forward Serron Noel on a three-year, entry-level contract. “Serron is a
highly skilled, hard-working, young player who we believe has the
potential to be an excellent power forward for the Panthers for many
years to come”, said Tallon. “At just 18 years of age, his impressive
combination of size, speed and character are qualities that have helped
him excel this season in Oshawa. We are thrilled to have signed Serron
and look forward to his development with the Panthers.” Noel, 18, has
appeared in 62 games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey
League, producing an OHL career-best 32 goals, 43 assists and 75 points.  The 6-foot-5, 210-pound native of Ottawa, Ontario, has posted three four-point games, one hat trick and 21 multi-point games this season with the Generals. Over 187 career OHL games, all with Oshawa, Noel has
produced 149 points (68-81-149). Earlier this season, he was selected to
Team OHL in the 2018 CIBC Canada-Russia Series. Originally selected by
Florida in the second round (34th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft, Noel is
the son of former Canadian Football League running back Dean Noel.
