Jaguars vs. Colts Postgame Transcript: Colts QB Jacoby Brissett

(On if the rhythm in the second half compared to the first half) “You know, we just couldn’t get anything going, as a whole. We did a great job with our second half adjustments, but we just couldn’t get anything going.”

(On the situation at the goal line and how critical it was in switching the game) “It changed the game, you know, we’re down four and then we go down 11. I can’t make those mistakes at those times. You live and you learn. It’s something I’ll get better at and understand the situations and understand when the journey is done.”

(On the changes in the opposing defense in the second half) “They did a couple different things, but for the most part, it was on us. It’s always on us, it’s never about them. They make adjustments, we make adjustments and it just comes down to what we do.”

(On looking back on the season) “I mean, I think we made a stride. We had our ups and downs, like every team in the NFL does, and a couple things didn’t go our way at times, but the trajectory of the team is positive. We have a lot of young players playing and we’re getting better. So, there’s a lot to look forward to. Myself, and other players on the team – I know, can’t wait to get ready to attack this offseason, get back and get another chance next year. But you know, the trajectory is going up.”

(On his knee injury and whether it impacted his performance) “No, I don’t think so at all.”

(On the team’s performance in Nov./Dec. compared to Sept./Oct.) “Like you said, it’s fresh, so we’ve got to go back and watch it and be critical of ourselves, put everything into context and go from there. And then, we’ll understand and have a better, more clear answer of where things went wrong and how we can improve on those things. Like you said, it’s too fresh to go back on the last couple months rather than this one right here.”

(On what he’s anxious to work on in the offseason) “Everything. To go back and watch the film of every game, being critical. [It’ll] be a fun offseason, get better, tune things up, get in the constant repetition with the same guys and that’s the exciting part.”

(On whether he pays attention to the criticism he gets) “Not at all. Everybody’s job gets it, his job, his job, his job – we all get criticized. But that’s what other people do. They criticize things that they don’t do because they can’t do it.”

(On how he blocks out the criticism) “I honestly don’t pay attention to it. I have other things to worry about.”

(On his thoughts on his own trajectory) “Oh, it’s through the roof.”

(On whether he likes where he’s going) “Oh, no question. Do you?”
