Jaguars Sign Cornerback Tevaughn Campbell

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed CB Tevaughn Campbell, the team announced today.

Campbell, 29, appeared in five games for Jacksonville last season after the Jaguars signed him off Las Vegas’ practice squad in October. In four seasons in the NFL, Campbell has compiled 60 total tackles (47 solo), seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception.

Campbell attended the University of Regina in Saskatchewan and posted 60 total tackles and 11 passes defensed in three seasons (2011, 2013-14).

Jaguars Agree to Terms With Cornerback Tre Herndon

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms on a contract with CB Tre Herndon, the team announced today.

Herndon originally signed with the Jaguars in 2018 as an undrafted free agent and has played in 67 games (30 starts) from 2018-22. In his five-year career with Jacksonville, Herndon has posted 188 tackles (150 solo), 23 passes defensed and three INTs. In 2022, he played in 15 regular season games and posted 34 tackles and five passes defensed.

The Chattanooga, Tenn. native attended Vanderbilt and appeared in 48 collegiate games with 36 starts and totaled 126 tackles (93 solo), 25 passes defensed, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 2.0 sacks and two INTs.

Jaguars Re-Sign Defensive Lineman Adam Gotsis

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed DL Adam Gotsis, the team announced today.

Gotsis was originally drafted by Denver in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft and has played in 104 games (47 starts) from 2016-2022. Since signing with Jacksonville in 2020, Gotsis has recorded 81 tackles (46 solo) and 4.5 sacks. In 2022, he played in 15 regular season games with one start and recorded 17 tackles (eight solo), 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery.

The Melbourne, Australia native attended college at Georgia Tech where he played in 48 games and recorded 110 tackles (69 solo), 12.5 sacks, five passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

Jaguars Sign RB D’Ernest Johnson

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed RB D’Ernest Johnson, the team announced today.

Johnson has played in 64 career NFL games with the Cleveland Browns from 2019-22. He originally went undrafted in 2018 and played with the Orlando Apollos in the AAF in 2019.

From 2019-22, Johnson recorded 738 rushing yards and two TDs on 138 carries, including a career-high 534 rushing yards on 100 rushes in 2021. He has totaled 31 receptions for 229 yards in his four-year career and returned 26 kickoffs for 646 yards.

Originally from Immokalee, Fla., Johnson played collegiately at South Florida from 2014-17 and rushed 421 times for 1,796 yards and 16 touchdowns. Johnson also finished as USF’s career leader in all-purpose yards (4,186), receptions by a running back (73), and receiving yards by a running back (909).
