Jaguars Quarterback Gardner Minshew II : Postgame vs. Atlanta

Thursday, August 29, 2019

(On the opportunities missed with penalties and turnovers) “Absolutely, it’s super frustrating. We didn’t play well enough; I didn’t play well enough, so you have to take it and learn from the things that go wrong and move forward.”

(On the frustration of finishing the preseason without a TD drive) “Oh, absolutely, it’s very frustrating. Ideally, you want to score touchdowns and when you don’t, that’s not ideal. Now, my focus is the next time I get an opportunity, I’ll be as ready as I can be.”

(On what he feels he needs to work on over the next 10 days) “Yeah, we’ll check the film and go from there. There’s a lot to get ready for when you play a new defense, a lot of studying we’ve got to do, and we’ll learn more and be able to go from there.”

(On Nick Foles and what he can do in the regular season) “Yeah, he’s a stud, he’s going to be really good for us. Really excited for him and what he’s going to be able to do.”

(On the offensive line and the guys that went down in the first quarter) “Hate that for the guys that went down. Praying for them for a speedy recovery. That’s definitely a blow any time you lose somebody, but anybody in this locker room, we trust. There’s a reason they’re here. It’s because we believe in what they can do. It’s unfortunate, but it’s good for those guys.”
