Jaguars Quarterback Alex McGough Postgame vs. Atlanta

Thursday, August 29, 2019

(On how hard it is to wait the entire game to play) “It’s tough, but you have to understand everyone. We have a lot of love in the quarterback group, between me, Nick and Gardner, and it’s easy to support those guys when they’re out there. It’s like my ‘bro’ is out there playing ball and I want to support him. At the same time, you want to play. But I think the more you’re into it and supportive, the better it is and the easier it is to stay ready and sustain it to the end.”

(On his plans for the next 48 hours) “My cousin is in town, so we’ll just hang out at the house, might shoot some hoops or something. I don’t know, we might just have to make something up.”

(On any indication whether 2 or 3 quarterbacks will be kept) “Oh, I don’t know.”

(On the feeling to actually get to get out there and play) “Yeah, I love football. I love just playing and I love the rush. It feels good when you take a snap from the back and people are trying to come get you. My job is not letting them get me and getting the ball into a receiver’s hands. I love everything about it. Every time I get an opportunity, I go back to my childhood days. I go out there to have fun and play. It’s just my natural instinct to take it over.”
