Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) and Friends of Miami Animals Foundation Inc. (FoMA), today announced the WOW (Wellness on Wheels) Mobile, the County’s fully-equipped mobile veterinary clinic, will be stationed in Liberty City from March 4 through May 31, 2022. Miami-Dade County pet owners can take their dogs and cats to the WOW Mobile for Free routine wellness veterinary services at the Joseph Caleb Center, located at 5400 NW 22nd Ave, Miami, FL 33142. Services are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis during the hours of 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.  The WOW Mobile is closed on Sunday, Monday and County observed holidays.

The WOW Mobile provides basic medical care to owned dogs and cats including physical exams, wellness vaccines and boosters, heartworm screening, deworming, heartworm and flea prevention, as well as referrals for low cost or no cost spay/neuter surgeries and other treatments pets may need that are not possible on the WOW Mobile. The mobile veterinary clinic travels to underserved neighborhoods in our community that have been identified as veterinary deserts.

WOW Mobile services are made possible through a substantial gift and grant funding from FoMA. In addition to purchasing and donating the mobile veterinary vehicle, FoMA has generously provided Animal Services with a grant of $500,000 to operate the vehicle throughout its first year with the County funding years two and three of the three-year pilot program.
