SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers and Baptist Health announced today that the club will host ‘Wear A Mask’ Night, presented by Baptist Health, on Monday, April 19th at BB&T Center when the Panthers host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The night will focus on raising awareness about the importance of continuing to wear a mask during the COVID-19 pandemic, while honoring the hard work and commitment of frontline healthcare workers.
BB&T Center is open to a limited capacity of fans for the 2020-21 season. All fans in attendance at the game will receive a Panthers-Baptist Health co-branded face mask as part of the Panthers’ health and safety guidelines.
Additionally, in support of the initiative, Panthers’ goalie, Chris Driedger, will be wearing a one-of-a-kind customized goalie mask, featuring a tribute to healthcare workers and promoting the importance of continuing to wear a mask to stop the spread of COVID-19 during the pre-game warmups. Following the game, Driedger’s warm-up worn mask will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Baptist Health Foundation.

In January, BB&T Center became the first NHL hockey arena to achieve the global benchmark International WELL Building Institute’s (IWBI) WELL Health-Safety Rating in recognition of the arena’s stringent guidelines and protocols to combat COVID-19 and its preparedness to safely accommodate fans upon reopening.
Red Reminders, presented by Baptist Health, utilizes signage and markers stationed throughout the entire BB&T Center to visually remind fans of important health and safety guidelines.
