BOCA RATON, Fla. – Boasting six NCAA postseason appearances and the 2019 Men’s Golf National Champions, Lynn University finished 21st in the final Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings for the 2018-19 season. This is the best finish for the Fighting Knights since 2014-15 and their ninth top-25 finish overall.

The Blue and White climbed the national ranks during the spring seasons, jumping from 67th following the winter to the 21st position. Lynn posted the sixth-best spring of all Division II institutions with a total of 309.0 points thanks to NCAA appearances from its women’s golf, men’s golf, women’s tennis and men’s tennis programs.

21st is the Fighting Knights highest ranking since 2014-15 when they ended the year 12th overall. Lynn’s highest-ever finish came in 1997-98 when the Blue and White rode their women’s soccer and women’s tennis National Championships to a seventh place finish.

The SSC, which won seven of the 25 D-II national titles, had four schools in the top-25, led by Tampa (12), Barry (14) and Florida Southern (18). The SSC joins the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) as the only two conferences to have four schools inside the top-25.

The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.

Complete standings and the scoring structure can be found on NACDA’s website at www.directorscup.org.
