DETROIT PISTONS SIGN JAYSEAN PAIGE TO 10-DAY CONTRACT

DETROIT – Dec. 31, 2021 – The Detroit Pistons announced today that the club has signed Jaysean Paige to a 10-day contract using the COVID-related hardship allowance. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.   Paige, 6-2, 200, has appeared in 14 games this season with the Maine Celtics, the Boston Celtics NBA G League affiliate.  He posted averages of 16.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 45.5% from the field, 36.6% from three-point range and 87.0% from the free throw line in 26.3 minutes per game.                  Paige played 41 games for Maine during the 2019-20 season averaging 11.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 23.4 minutes per game. Undrafted out of West Virginia, he played two seasons for the Mountaineers (2014-2016) and posted averages of 9.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 17.9 minutes over 69 games. Paige has also played professionally overseas in Germany, North Macedonia, England, Hungary and Puerto Rico.                 He will wear No. 42 for the Pistons.-pistons.com-
