McCAIN PICKS OFF PRESCOTT FOR FIRST INTERCEPTION OF SEASON
• CB Bobby McCain recorded his first interception of the 2019 season when he picked off Cowboys QB Dak Prescott on the first snap of the second quarter. McCain returned the interception 21 yards.
• The pick was McCain’s fifth in his five-year NFL career and first since he intercepted Patriots QB Tom Brady on Sept. 30, 2018.
EGUAVOEN LEADS WAY WITH EIGHT STOPS
• In a return to his hometown, LB Sam Eguavoen led the Dolphins with a career-high eight tackles (seven solo). Eguavoen grew up in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth.
• Eguavoen has started all three games for the Dolphins this season, his first as an NFL player. After going undrafted out of Texas Tech in 2015, Eguavoen played three seasons for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He had never signed an NFL contract until he joined the Dolphins this offseason.
• Eguavoen now has 17 tackles (nine solo) in three career games.
CHARLTON RECORDS SACK IN HIS DOLPHINS DEBUT
• DE Taco Charlton was awarded off waivers to the Dolphins on Thursday, Sept. 19. Just three days later, he made his Dolphins debut against his former team – the Dallas Cowboys – and recorded his first sack as a Dolphin.
• Charlton brought down QB Dak Prescott for a 5-yard loss on a second-down play near the end of the third quarter. ROSEN MAKES FIRST START WITH THE DOLPHINS
• QB Josh Rosen made his first start as a member of the Miami Dolphins today and completed 18-of-39 passes (46.2 pct.) for 200 yards.
• Rosen became the youngest Dolphins quarterback to start a game (22 years, 224 days) for the Dolphins since QB Dan Marino in 1983 (22 years, 25 days).
