City of Hollywood to hold two public workshops to discuss the stormwater system

From David Volz

The Hollywood Department of Public Utilities will be hosting two public workshops to discuss the City’s ongoing Stormwater system assessment, flooding mitigation plans, and the actions needed to adapt to sea level rise. These workshops are an opportunity for the public to share their past experiences with flooding events in Hollywood as a way to help guide the development of the Stormwater Master Plan. Issues to be discussed: sea level rise, flooding, saltwater intrusion, groundwater table, storm systems, water quality, storm surge, low-lying elevations, backflow flooding, high tides, infrastructure and resilience. All are invited to attend either in-person or virtually.
