TAMPA, May 16, 2019 – USF will head to Tallahassee, Fla., for its 15th NCAA regional appearance where it will take on South Carolina in the opening game Friday at noon. The matchup will air live on SEC Network.

The Bulls will be back in action on Friday after their longest stretch without a game since the season started due to the cancellation of The American tournament last week. The Bulls picked up their 40th win of the season in the American Athletic Conference Championship Quarterfinals on May 9 but weren’t able to continue the competition due to repeated patterns of inclement weather. As the top seed in the tournament and the regular season champion, USF was awarded the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

USF (40-17) will face the No. 21 Gamecocks in a rematch of the earlier contest during the USF-Clearwater Parks and Recreation Invitational Tournament. Then-ranked No. 13 South Carolina took down USF, 8-1.

Other possible opponents in the four-team, double-elimination regional include reigning national champion, No. 4 FSU and Bethune Cookman. The Noles and the Wildcats will face off at 2:30 p.m. Friday in game two of the regional.
